We are not just cries in the wind or a myth of olden times. We are as real as you are but not many have seen us.
All we ask is to be left alone- this is our way. Do we intrude on your lands or disturb your lives? With all the lands you have why must you add ours?
We have been here for a millenia and only cause destruction when necessary for our own safety.
You are a selfish people~ always grabbing what is not yours to take. We are solitary by choice and now it is more than ever done for our own self preservation.
We cry out for help but you do not understand our language. Do not let our size frighten you. We can be friends if your race would not see us as an enemy out to kill you.
Some have seen us at length-heard us all about him and even received gifts of food...a gift to him from us.
We can be gentle or fierce,as so many humans are. Once we were known and not feared; than your people grew too wise to follow and stay in contact with the land and it's ways.
A large footprint does not mean death is near.

Karl, Peter and I returned to Oregon in May, 2009 to visit the area where Karl had encountered Bigfoot some years before. We camped in Indian Mary campground where he had stayed before, and the men explored the same mountain areas where Karl had been searching for minerals in years past. Unfortunately, in the interim, the pristine mountainside had been logged and the area was almost unrecognizable. You can see pictures in the Photo Gallery which document how beautiful this area used to be, and how it appears now. It is still beautiful though. This area is some of the most rugged in the Northwest US, and home to huge bears and mountain lions. On our final night in the campground, we packed all our camping gear, including our shotguns, ammunition, game cameras, and other weapons, and built a large bonfire to enjoy our romantic last night under the thousands of spectacular Oregon stars. We sat on the picnic table outside our yurt around 11:15 PM, and were quietly talking, enjoying the peace and quiet of the evening. The campground was virtually empty. There was only one other campsite occupied besides the supervisor of the campground which was some distance away from us. Behind us there was a ravine about forty feet deep that ran around 150 feet down to the Rogue River. Suddenly, there was a loud scream from the ravine, and then another one. It was a mountain lion. Both Karl and I recognized that scream. It was the same scream we had heard the first night we arrived at Indian Mary - chasing a deer through the grounds at about 2:30 AM. Unmistakable sound - that night the screaming stopped around 100 feet away from our yurt, as the deer succumbed to the mountain lion. This night, we both looked at each other, and realized that all our weapons were already packed - even the cameras. Karl grabbed a flashlight and walked down one side of the ravine to get a closer look. I moved to the far side of the fire, not entirely comfortable that the screams seemed to be moving closer. Karl was shining the flashlight down into the ravine and throwing rocks in the direction of the noises. Then he stopped and came back toward me as the screams abruptly ceased. At that time, I became aware of a horrible stench. As he approached me, I said, "Did you smell that?" "Yes, I did. What do you think?" I replied, "I think that was a Bigfoot, and it was coming after the mountain lion, and it got it. That is why the screaming stopped." I believe that is exactly what happened. Karl and I had spent the previous day on the mountain, and seen mountain lion tracks, and I had discovered a Bigfoot footprint, and perhaps Bigfoot had followed us back off the mountain. Maybe it had followed it back off the mountain to protect us? Or just to let it know that it was aware that it was there? I was never afraid at all. But I know what I heard, and I know what I smelled, and I am grateful for these gentle giants, that they were protecting Karl and me. Reply to this

Hi Sid,
I want to thank you for your message and kind words. My journal is all truth, and even now when I read it, I am once again right there in the midst of so many fantastic realities unfolding around me. I could never have dreamed up the journal as fiction. As you now know, the reality of protecting this endangered pristine eco system with the incredible life forms above and along the Rogue River is a daunting task. It is truly a David/Goliath undertaking.
It is my deepest hope that other readers like you will put their minds and hearts into letting others know the truth regarding Bigfoot. Every citizen of this country has a right to know what is happening to the environment and life forms where the events of the journal take place. I plan to update the journal with the last two expeditions soon, and am now preparing my 13th trek there with the aim of searching even deeper into the wilds. Bigfoot is truly an amazing, enigmatic "Old Man of the forest", and I very much hope to encounter him/her again. I too, hope to meet you one day Sid. Memphis is not that far away.
My best regards,
